Easter

A Trojan Cow in Boston South Station. Or maybe an Easter Cow?

I woke up this morning to hear loud incoherent noise coming from somewhere nearby. After a few minutes of concentration it dawned on my that this was religious music being sung outside for Easter Sunday. The sound bounced around enough or was just garbled enough to sound like the Who’s down in Whoville.

For me Easter has never been a religious holiday. There was some religion in there occasionally as several of my family members are fairly catholic, yet for me it was a family holiday.

The icon of Easter never spoke to me religiously: eggs, bunnies or chocolate. It is more of a spring renewal or spring solstice celebration then a christian one.

In the end I find it to be a good reason for a family gathering that involves candy, brunch and/or dinner.
