I need to use my Lensbaby more often.

Last week I was contacted on Flickr as someone wanted to use one of my photos. My photo of the Stirling graveyard is going to be published in a free print travel magazine for Scotland, The Midgie. I might not ever see the photo in print but is a nice feeling to know that I am closer to becoming a published photographer.

This is my first in print publication, though not paid. One day I might be paid for doing what I enjoy (aside form Science).

Another lovely sunset while I was stuck in lab.

Twice now I have had photos of mine pulled off of Flickr and published in internet publications. The first was a photo of the Eiffel Tower used in NowPublic for an article on the amount of electricity wasted by said tower.

Recently my photo of Calton Hill, Edinburgh was published as part of the Schmap guide of Edinburgh.

I don’t know much about Schmap but it is a nice feeling to have one of your photos published in some form of media, even if there is not payment involved.
